Your child will explore a variety of creative skills (such coding, graphic design, animation) and interactive sessions on thought provoking topics such as historical stories, entrepreneurship and media analysis. All designed to give them the tools, mindset and confidence to get creative and have a healthy relationship with tech. The club is run like an online community with regular live sessions and a space where they can share their creations and access updates (with parental guidance). All of the content and skills that we focus on are designed to inspire creativity and build a foundation for hobbies or future careers.

The Digital Skills Club is designed for busy families. Your child can join live sessions or catch up on-demand at a time that works for you. We'd suggest dedicating 2 hours per week on attending live sessions and/or using the resources/completing activities.

This membership is very different from following a course or having private classes with a tutor. Here's how:

1. We don't just focus on practical skills. The education side of this membership balances learning practical skills like graphic design or coding with topics such as the development of technology over time and how marketing/advertising targets children during their screentime. There is a big emphasis on helping your child change their approach to screentime to taking a leadership/creative role - learning how to be principled and disciplined when it comes to their choice of entertainment and beyond.

2. You are joining a community. For yourself as a parent - with other parents that care about how technology is used in their home, and for your child - to be amongst peers in a positive and uplifting environment. All of the sessions are live (unless you're catching the replay) and encourage active participation with the instructor and between the other kids. Your child will also be encouraged to share their creations for feedback in the community space.

3. It's a mindset. Helping your child shift from consumer mode to creator mode requires more than the know-how of creating with tech. They need positive examples, recognition for their efforts and talent, and content that inspires them to think for themselves and try new things. This is why we incorporated the teamwork element of the group activities, where we work on communication and collaboration skills alongside the creative.

Our workshops and courses are conducted in smaller groups and very interactive, using a conferencing tool that allows active participation for your child, such as screen sharing, drawing and quizzes. All sessions are led by experienced mentors who guide and support children directly.

Absolutely! All content is carefully curated to be age-appropriate and aligned with our mission of ethical technology use.

A computer or tablet with internet access is all they need. Some sessions may recommend free software or basic supplies (for example, your child would need access to a laptop or PC for graphic design classes), but we’ll guide you through everything step by step.

With a mix of challenges, group projects, and hands-on activities, we ensure every child stays inspired and excited to create. Plus, our community aspect encourages collaboration and sharing.

We weave lessons on responsible tech use into the curriculum through the live sessions, resources and recommendations. The club doesn't just focus on learning skills - but empowers your child to use devices as tools for creation, and have fun with it!

Yes, they will build a portfolio! Many of the projects your child completes can be showcased in a personal portfolio, demonstrating their progress and achievements.

There is no trial period for the Digital Skills Club, but we will be releasing some tasters for you to experience how we conduct our live sessions and inspire kids to get into the driver's seat. Join the waitlist for updates.
